Dr. Ivan Ninov

  • Dr. Ivan Ninov joined Stenden Qatar University of Applied Sciences, from the Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management (EAHM) in Dubai, where he served as Assistant Dean. He earned his Doctorate degree in Hospitality Administration from Texas Tech University, where he was teaching before joining EAHM. He also holds a Master’s degree in Restaurant, Hotel and Institutional Management from the same institution, and Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Tourism Management from Sofia University.

    At the Emirates Academy Dr. Ninov was involved in the day to day operation of the university and was specifically in charge of directing and managing the MBA programme. Dr. Ninov was also in charge of the development and the implementation of the Institutional Effectiveness Programme. The purpose of this programme was to constantly monitor and rigorously research all academic activities at the school through a systematic process of stakeholder feedback, which was used in the continuous quality improvement of the overall educational process.

    Dr. Ninov’s main areas of expertise are Strategic Management, Quality Management, Hospitality and Tourism Management. He has been involved in numerous research and consultancy projects and has supervised many graduate and undergraduate dissertations. Dr. Ninov was recognized as a researcher within his field and received the Best Paper award in Tourism at the 2008 Annual ICHRIE Conference in Atlanta. He also serves as a reviewer for several tourism and hospitality management research journals and conferences.
