Under the patronage of H.E. Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim Al Thani and Mrs. Ann Mannen, Interim Executive Dean, Stenden University celebrated the occasion of its 15th anniversary in Qatar. The event was held on Sunday 13th of December at Al Samriya Farm. Students, alumni, staff, faculty and distinguished guests enjoyed the ceremony.

His Excellency welcomed the guests and expressed his happiness that Stenden University Qatar contributes to the development of the country by offering high-quality programs to qualify students for the working life and strengthen them to build their future as leaders.

In the panel discussion H.E. Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim Al Thani provided the audience some valuable insights into his work and professional life. H.E. Sheikh stressed on how important it is to manage one’s own time to be able to excel at what you want to accomplish. When he was asked how he manages all his business and organizations he said, “There should be time for serious work, fun and family. Companies need hard working people that you can trust. This is how companies and industries grow. The right person in the right place will enhance the job and the whole organization.”

Ms. Reem Al Suwaidi, General Manager of Bedaya Center and Alumna of SUQ also gave a speech in the occasion. She stated “I would like to thank His Excellency Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim Al Thani for his continuous support to SUQ students and staff. H.E is the spiritual father for everyone at the university.”

In addressing the guests at the event, Mrs. Ann Mannen remarked “We want to take this opportunity to express our gratitude and appreciation for the tremendous partnership we have had together with Al Faisal Holding these past 15 years. We want to congratulate and applaud HE Sheikh Faisal for his vision and commitment to education and in particular here in the State of Qatar. Today we not only celebrate a partnership but more so the contribution that together we have been able to make to develop young minds and stimulate educational development.

Speaking further, she noted to the current SUQ ambassadors that their exemplary work in the industry makes the name of Stenden stronger each time they achieve and develop themselves.

Mrs. Ann Mannen offered H.E. Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani the honorary copy of a book written by Mr. Fokko Bosker about Stenden University Qatar to mark the occasion of the 15th anniversary.

Certificates and prizes were presented to students and staff members at the ceremony in recognition of their success and achievements during the year 2015. Mr. Ali Abdallah; Dr. Ian Mckay, Mr. Krishna Paul and Mr. Hassan Abdellatif were among the staff award winners. Students who received awards are Giselle D Costa, Chahinez Torqui, Vignesh Venkataraman, Kaye P.Fausto, Dima Zantout, Deema Mohammed Ali, Sara K. Loulou, Noora Ghalib Fahad and Dana Nagi Ali.
