Ahmed Khellil Al Abbassi

Ahmed Khellil Al Abbassi is a Bachelor of Business Administration graduate in International Business and Management Studies from Stenden University Qatar (SUQ). During his time at SUQ, he was pursuing a career as a professional football player in Lekhwiya Sports Club in Doha.
After graduating from the University, he was appointed Sporting Director in professional football, making him one of the youngest to hold this position. During his four year tenure with Lehkwiya Sports Club, the team won three league titles and one Qatar Cup. He joined the Qatar National Teams Management in 2014 as the Managing Director where he was part of the team winning the historic Gulf Cup 2014 in Saudi Arabia. A determined professional, Ahmed has been nominated for the “Under 40 Leaders in Football Award 2016”. Some of his objectives are to optimize the level of Qatar National Teams towards 2022 and beyond, and to be one of the World leaders in football improving the game all over the globe.
Apart from football, he is also the Co-founder of the first solar energy company in Qatar (Qatar Solar Energy) seeking to positively contribute to the world’s environmental sustainability.
In alignment with his professional career, Ahmed is currently working on a part-time Executive MBA programme in the UK.
